A new aircraft debris found by a teenager of South Africa, will be sent to Australia for analysis.
Officials say it was during his holidays in December last year on a beach in Mozambique that the young man discovered the piece, which is of about a meter long.
Photos sent to the investigators have aided their work, which has enabled them to identify a serial number similar to that of a 777.
“I am hoping that it is a part of it (MH370) because it has been two years now and the families still do not know where the plane is, where their family members are. So it will be to found out you know just to have that case sorted out,“Liam Lotter, Debris founder said.
The aircraft debris is the second found on the coasts of Mozambique since the disappearance of the flight MH370 On 8 March 2014 which was carrying 239 people.
It is believed to have crashed in the Indian Ocean. A piece of the plane’s wing was washed up on the French Indian Ocean island of Reunion in July 2015.
